Ayodhya’s Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Airport is ready to host its maiden flight along with the opening of Ram Temple in January. It’s a race against time for those working to make it happen. A report:
LUCKNOW: Hailing from outskirts of Kolkata, Saikat (21), travelled to Ayodhya a week ago to join the labour force which is working in day and night shifts to complete the concrete flooring of extended apron – the tarmac or the area of an airport where planes will be parked. Like him, Amit Kumar of Bihar’s Siwan came along with a group of his acquaintances from Mumbai two weeks back at the under-construction site of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram airport to install more than 250 toughened glass panels of 50mm width, which could weigh up to 4.5 quintal each, to cover the 6600 sqm area of domestic terminal.
