Following a historic treble with Manchester City and a Nations League triumph with Spain, Aymeric Laporte is the latest name in the transfer rumour mill this summer. The defender has been linked with an exit from Manchester City in the coming weeks, with plenty of links over a next club.
The Spain international has been a stalwart in the City side since making the switch from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, making 179 appearances in all competitions. However, the 2022/23 season has been far from kind to the 29-year-old, who managed just 24 appearances.
With just two years left on his deal, links are ramping up over a potential exit from the Etihad Stadium, with Tottenham heavily rumoured with a move. They may find competition from their rivals Arsenal though, who are also claimed to be monitoring the situation.
With that said, here's a look at the latest on Laporte's potential exit from Manchester City this summer and the battle between the two north London clubs.
Manchester City price tag
Manchester City have set a price tag of £25million for defender Aymeric Laporte this summer, according to Italian outlet TuttoJuve. Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with a switch for the Spanish international, who looks set to leave amid a move for Josko Gvardiol at the Etihad Stadium.

Mikel Arteta verdict
Man City star Aymeric Laporte has previously claimed he has a "really good relationship" with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, amid reports of a potential move to the Emirates Stadium this summer transfer window. Discussing the Arsenal head coach in 2020, the defender said: "Mikel is a great coach and, for me, he has been one of the best people I have met in Manchester. He tries to help players all the time, he had a really good relationship with everyone and with me especially."
Arsenal hijack
Arsenal could look to hijack Tottenham's move for Laporte in the coming weeks as Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claims they have joined the transfer race. With the Gunners looking to bolster their strength in depth at the back to help their push for a Premier League title, the 29-year-old defender is monitored as an option for the north London outfit.
Tottenham interest
Tottenham are interested in a move for Laporte this summer, according to the Mirror, as part of a huge shuffle of their defensive department. City are claimed to be willing to listen to offers for the Spain international, with an expensive switch for Josko Gvardiol lined up.
Manchester City exit
Transfer expert Rudy Galetti has claimed there's "concrete chances" for Aymeric Laporte to leave Manchester City this summer. He told GiveMeSport: "There are concrete chances of Laporte leaving Manchester City in the summer. Bayern are showing interest in him, but their priority is to sign Kim Min-jae at the beginning of July, and Barcelona are on his tracks as well. The future of the Spanish centre-back, whose contract expires in 2025, is still to be decided."
