A once popular Midlothian takeaway looks set to reopen, with new ‘name and management’.
Bombay Spice, which sits on the High Street in Bonnyrigg, will open its doors again in the first week in May.
Locals were left disappointed after the award-winning eatery closed down last summer, though will welcome its return in just a few weeks.

Ahead of opening, manager Shahin Khan said: “I'm taking over Bombay Spice on the High Street in a few weeks.
“Look forward to welcoming old and new customers. We won't be registered to just eat, too much commission. Please use our website for online orders.
“Fresh start at Bombay Spice. Under new name and management, opening the first week in May. All welcome!”
The spot was previously hugely popular with locals, even scooping up an award for best curry house in Scotland back in 2021. A review made on TripAdvisor back in February 2020 reads: “I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
“Amazing, fresh, delicious food. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for Indian food, great service.”
