An award-winning Liverpool restaurant has undergone a makeover to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the city.
Popular Italian restaurant Amalia has hit its 10th anniversary in the city centre and has marked the occasion with a stylish new look, including a flower wall, selfie swing and a mural of Rome. The restaurant is offering a special lunch offer too.
The family friendly Italian restaurant is based on Campbell Square just off Duke Street and was opened by Miguel and Antonio in 2012. Amalia has consistently been a firm favourite amongst Liverpool diners, often receiving five star reviews.

Amalia was awarded Best Pizza in England twice and Best Team in England in the National Italian Awards, while Antonio was Chef Of The Year in 2018. The restaurant is a popular destination for families and large groups and the courtyard is a big hit in the warmer months.
Miguel Quepo, owner of Amalia, said: “It feels great to reach 10 years as a Liverpool restaurant. There are many fantastic restaurants in this city and we are a little hidden off the beaten track so it’s an achievement we’re very proud of. It’s taken a lot of hard work and consistency.
“The staff have a crucial role to play in our success over the years and we’ve reached this milestone due to the environment they create. We’re a very family orientated restaurant with a very fun and friendly atmosphere — of course, we pride ourselves on top quality cuisine but it’s the staff who make the experience magical for our customers.”
He added:: “We’ve created something very special here and so many celebrations and good times have been had over the last 10 years. So many birthdays, engagements and celebrations have taken place here and we like to think it’s more than just a restaurant - it’s a family.”
Amalia is running a special lunch offer of a pizza or pasta dish plus a drink for £10.95 Monday to Friday, 12pm-5pm. The restaurant’s famous ‘Calzone Challenge’ is still available for those brave enough to give it a go.
The restaurant is based at 2 Campbell Square, Liverpool, L1 5FB. You can book a table here .
