NEW DELHI: The Delhi police on Tuesday informed that they are still awaiting a response from the Swiss Embassy in order to reach out to the family members of the Swiss woman whose body was discovered in the city five days ago.
The woman was allegedly murdered by Gurpreet Singh, a 33-year-old man who claimed to have befriended her during a visit to Switzerland in 2021.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Vichitra Veer, confirmed that they have been in regular contact with embassy officials, but no response has been received thus far. Veer stated, "We are waiting for her family to come and identify the body so that the process of autopsy examination could be started."
