Avanti passengers have been urged only to travel if strictly necessary on coming strike days.
RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers) workers working for train operating companies will walk out on November 5 and November 9, while the union's members working for Network Rail are scheduled to strike on November 5, 7 and 9.
Strike action by the RMT union has also been announced for Avanti West Coast Train Managers on November 6, while the TSSA (Transport Salaried Staffs' Association) union has also announced strike action on November 5 and 9.

About the strike, RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: "Our focus in this dispute is the rail employers who have yet to make an offer that will create the conditions for a negotiated settlement. I call upon the new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to unshackle the rail industry so they can come to a settlement with RMT.
Avanti has warned passengers that they should only travel on November, 5, 6, 7 and 9 if absolutely necessary. The operator's timetable will be reduced significantly on those days, while the days after industrial action are also expected to be affected.
The operator has confirmed its timetable for Saturday, November 5. Eight trains will operate from Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston, with the first service at 8.45am and the last at 3.56pm.
Similarly, eight trains will run from Euston to Lime Street, with the first service at 7.47am and the last at 2.56pm.
On November 6 - the second planned strike day, six trains will run from Euston to Lime Street, with the first service at 9.21am and the last at 2.40pm. Seven trains will run from Liverpool to London, with the first at 9.38am and the last at 3.47pm.
Avanti said customers with tickets dated November 5 to 10 can claim a full refund from their point of purchase. Additionally, any customers with existing tickets for travel from November 5 to 10 can use those tickets anytime between now and November 12.
