Avani Prashanth concluded the first round of the Australian Amateur Championships tied for seventh, carding a 1-under 72. In the later part of initial nine holes, she secured two birdies, balancing out a solitary bogey.
Avani, who was the runner-up at the Australian Masters of Amateurs last week, is currently three shots behind the leader, Aina Fujimoto (69), with a score of 4-under at Keysborough Golf Club.
