Colorado’s game against the Predators, scheduled for Friday afternoon, was postponed due to a water main break at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the NHL announced. No makeup date has been determined yet, according to a league statement.
The Avs (11-6-1) skated at their practice facility in Centennial then flew to Nashville on Thursday afternoon. They next play Saturday at home against Dallas.
The water main break “significantly impacted the event level of the arena,” according to the league statement. The status of Nashville’s Saturday home game against Columbus is up in the air.
Colorado defeated Nashville, 5-3, at home the first time the division foes met this season. Their next scheduled game is Dec. 17 at Ball Arena. Colorado will travel to Nashville again for a scheduled game Dec. 23.
