A school that repeatedly strapped two autistic students into chairs to restrict their movement has apologised after a court ruled it breached their human rights.
Five Acre Wood, a school for children with special education needs, has admitted breaking its own policy and government guidance by using mechanical restraints on twins Samuel and Jacob Montague.
The twins, who are both severely autistic and non-verbal, started at the school in 2009 aged four, with the intention of attending until age 19. They are now both 17.
