Marcel Sabitzer has been called up for the Austrian national team despite his recent absence for Manchester United. The 28-year-old joined United on loan from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window and initially impressed with his performances for the club.
Sabizter was signed to help offset Christian Eriksen's injury layoff but has missed the last two matches himself with an unspecified setback. Erik ten Hag has yet to provide an official reason behind Sabitzer's absence, but fears of another long-term injury have been eased by his recent international selection.
Sabizter was named in the Austria squad by Ralf Rangnick on Tuesday for their upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Estonia.

United will be hoping to have Sabizter back available themselves in the coming weeks, with Casemiro set to serve a four-match domestic suspension.
Ten Hag remains without fellow midfielders Eriksen and Donny van de Beek for the time being, and could rely on the Bayern loanee to help ease his selection headache.
Casemiro is available for the Europa League second leg against Real Betis on Thursday night but will not be available for selection for the FA Cup quarter-final against Fulham or the Premier League matches versus Newcastle, Brentford and Everton.
