Australian shares trim gains as Gaza airstrikes resume

Australian shares pared early gains to finish only slightly higher, as US futures slumped on escalating conflict in the Middle East.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 was up 6.3 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 7860.4 while the broader All Ordinaries index edged 7.8 points higher, or 0.10 per cent, to 8089.9 as markets closed on Tuesday.
