Aussie shares edge lower as buyers take a breather

Australia's share market has edged lower a day after breaking all-time highs, but all's not lost as the bourse posted its second-highest close in history.

The S&P/ASX200 slipped 12.3 points, or 0.14 per cent, to 8,831.4, as the broader All Ordinaries lost 9.1 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 9102.
