Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says he has a "mountain to climb" in elections Saturday, despite leading the opinion polls, in a contest swayed by living costs and Trump tariffs.

Surveys give Albanese's left-leaning Labor Party a narrow lead over the conservative opposition on a two-party preferred basis.
