An Australian living in Glasgow has uploaded a video to TikTok explaining some of his favourite sayings and phrases he's come to love.
Having been here for approaching half a year, TikToker Marc Murphy, who's username is @murphtox, said at first some of them didn't make any sense to him, but over time, they make much more sense.
Discussing some of his favourites, he explained: "Okay I've lived in Scotland for about five months now and here are some of my favourite sayings that just make so much sense to an Aussie.

"Okay this is my favourite one but when people who are hungover and they're worried they did something bad the night before, they say I've got the fear - and at first I didn't really understand it.
"I was like the fear of what? what are you afraid of? But now it just makes so much sense.
"In Australia you might say I've got hanxiety or I'm anxious but I don't feel like that captures the feeling when you're afraid of what you might have done, you're scared and don't even know what you've done. Now I use it all the time."
He then joked: "I probably use it too much."
Talking about another favourite of his he continued: "Okay this next one is a cute one and it usually happens in shops but when you say sorry for something and someone says oh don't be daft.
"I just like it, it's the cutest expression and it makes you feel so much better. I went into the shop the other day and I said sorry I'm late and she's like don't be daft.
"I feel like in Australia if you were to say don't be stupid, it would be a bit harsh. But here it touches your soul - I love it."
The video has been viewed 111.7k times, at the time of writing, over 100 comments and has almost 10,000 likes.
Taking to the comments to discuss the Scottish sayings one person wrote: "The fear is traumatic."
Another commented: "STOP I moved from England to Glasgow and the fear is the best phrase I’ve ever experienced."
"A good one is when you're hungover people say.. I'm aff it! But don't mean it. It means I'm so hungover I'm never drinking again x" said a third.
The Aussie also tried Irn-Bru in a recent TikTok video saying he liked it, calling it similar to "Orange Fanta" to which people in the comments found hilarious, joking they were offended by the comparison.
