British driver Lando Norris made the perfect start to the new F1 season, mastering tough conditions to win the Australian Grand Prix in an incident-packed race. The McLaren driver delivered a statement drive to finish ahead of reigning world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull and the Mercedes of George Russell.

Norris secured his fifth career victory after making the right calls during a race that included plenty of crashes, three safety cars and an aborted start.
