Australian-American actor Julian McMahon dies aged 56

Julian McMahon, the charismatic star of "Nip/Tuck" and "Charmed," died aged 56. The Australian-American actor’s family announced that he passed away on Wednesday, 2 July, in Clearwater, Florida, after a private battle with cancer.

"With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer," said a statement released by his wife, Kelly McMahon, through his publicist.
