Clare Polkinghorne was keen to clear up some misconceptions that this was her farewell match. As Tom Sermanni just suggested, it was instead the start of a farewell tour. The defender hopes to be part of the action when the Matildas and their old foes Brazil do it all again on Sunday night, then again when Australia face Taiwan in a pair of matches. A good reason to give the tribute tshirts a few extra wears too.
