Leading tech capabilities in Australia mean it should help other countries withstand pressure from the US to change the way online spaces are regulated, an expert says.

Australia ranked first in the world in eight of 103 artificial intelligence capabilities, putting it well above most other countries, research from the Tech Policy Design Institute showed.
