Australia dives into the big blue as key climate ally

Australia has joined seven other nations pledging to harness the power of the ocean to cut emissions under the global climate pact.

Capable of absorbing carbon dioxide and much of the excess heat caused by more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the sea is considered crucial in the fight against climate change.
