Australia will support Indonesia in developing joint defence training facilities under a security pact inked between the two nations.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto signed the treaty during a ceremony in Jakarta on Friday.
Under the Treaty of Jakarta, an offer is made to set up an embedded position for a senior Indonesian officer in the Australian Defence Force.
