Los Angeles Lakers wing Austin Reaves has had quite a season, and it has made him one of the most popular players on the team.
From the start of the campaign, he displayed a much-improved 3-point shot, as well as great poise when it came to his ball-handling and facilitating. As the season wore on, he also showed the ability to draw fouls and finish through contact, as well as the ability to be a supporting scoring threat.
Reaves averaged 13 points and 3.4 assists a game in the regular season, as well as 17.6 points and 5.5 assists a game while shooting 57.8% overall and 44.3% from downtown after the All-Star break.
It led some Lakers fans to believe he deserved to win the Sixth Man of the Year award, but the award went to the Boston Celtics’ Malcolm Brogdon. In fact, Reaves finished seventh in the voting.

It’s safe to assume that Reaves would prefer winning the NBA championship to taking home the Sixth Man of the Year award.
