The Lakers suffered a brutal defeat at the hands of the 76ers on Monday night and after the game Austin Reaves gave a blunt summation of the 44-point blowout.
“They made a lot of threes, we didn’t, and they they beat the s--- out of us,” he said after the 138–94 loss.
Philadelphia made 22 of its 46 (47.8%) three-point attempts while Los Angeles shot 7-for-28 (25%) from beyond the arc. Reaves finished with 12 points, two rebounds and two assists on 4-for-10 shooting from the field in his 29 minutes on the floor. LeBron James also seemed visibly frustrated when asked how a team should react to such a lopsided loss.
“They beat the sh*t out of us.”
