Austin McBroom dismisses Andrew Tate as he calls for "winner-takes-all" KSI fight

Austin McBroom believes that he is more deserving of a fight with KSI than Andrew Tate - and would be willing to put his entire purse on the line to make the fight happen.

YouTube stars McBroom and KSI have had a long-standing rivalry dating back to the American's win over Bryce Hall last year, which put him at the top of the Brit's hit list for his boxing comeback. But when it came to negotiating, KSI and his team felt that McBroom was pricing himself out of the fight and opted for Alex Wassabi instead.

Ultimately, Wassabi pulled out and was replaced on short notice by rapper Swarmz and Mexican journeyman Luis Pineda, with KSI taking part in a "two fights in one night" gimmick. Now, it appears that McBroom is one of the frontrunners to be his next opponent, although Tate seems to be the favourite with fans and officials at Misfits Boxing.

McBroom was part of KSI's post-fight call-out after he defeated Pineda in the second of his two fights, assuming he can beat AnEsonGib in the main event of Social Gloves 2 this weekend. He is even offering to put his substantial purse on the line if KSI is able to beat him, stating the pair should have a 'winner-takes-all' stipulation in their fight deal.

"The funny thing is, Gib wasn't really on the list," McBroom told Mirror Fighting in an exclusive chat ahead of his fast-approaching bout. "He [KSI] said 'the winner of Austin vs Gib' because he didn't want to make Gib feel bad.

"He obviously is not going to say 'Austin' because that would imply automatically that I would win, so in reality he was trying to say Austin and that fight is going to happen. I've said it time and time again that I would be willing to go out there to his territory, fight him in the UK and winner takes all.

"So whoever loses does not get paid, I'm all for it. There's no reason why he shouldn't take that fight and I don't want to hear no excuses after I beat up his best friend and we'll see what happens in January."

It appears that fans who were excited for KSI vs McBroom last year, when the bout was first floated, have moved their attentions to Tate, a newer figure on the social media scene. The American-born former four-time kick-boxing world champion has come out of nowhere to emerge as a monstrous star across TikTok and other platforms, and could be an opponent for either KSI or Logan Paul.

However, McBroom is not convinced of his ability to draw without any major boxing matches to his name, despite having fought UFC-calibre fighters in MMA and kick-boxed at world level. Asked if he would be disappointed to be overlooked in favour of Tate, McBroom replied: "I guess a little bit.

"Tate just randomly got in the space, he hasn't fought anybody and I think that people want to see me and him fight. We were supposed to fight after I fought Bryce, he ran to Alex Wassabi and I think it only makes sense for him and I."

Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib is the headliner of Social Gloves 2 this Saturday night live from 2am UK time on Fite.tv and SocialGloves.tv.
