Aussie O'Callaghan strikes 100m free gold

Mollie O'Callaghan has roared to Australia's third gold medal of the world swimming championships, taking the blue riband 100m freestyle event with a dazzling late charge.

The 18-year-old Queenslander powered through over the final 10 metres to take her first individual global gold and her fourth medal of the championships in Budapest on Thursday.

She clocked 52.67 seconds to beat Swedish world champion Sarah Sjostrom by 0.13 and American Torri Huske by 0.25sec.
