Aussie grandma ends fight against drug smuggling bust

A grandmother convicted of drug smuggling in Japan will seek to serve her sentence in Australia after losing an appeal against her conviction.

Perth woman Donna Nelson, 59, was handed a six-year sentence in December 2024 for bringing two kilograms of methamphetamine into Japan in January 2023.
