Australia's track cyclists have kick-started their World Cup campaign in promising fashion, scooping four medals on the opening night at the Perth SpeedDome with their men's pursuit team leading the way.
After qualifying fastest in 3min 51.939sec, the pursuit quartet of Liam Walsh, Thomas Cornish, Noah Blannin and Joshua Duffy proved in a class of their own, lapping a Hong Kong foursome halfway through Friday's final.
It was Cornish's second medal of the night after he'd also taken silver in the elimination race -- the first time he's raced the event at this level -- finishing behind only Germany's world champion Moritz Augenstein.
