Aurelien Tchouameni makes transfer decision as Liverpool 'turn attention' to £32m midfielder

It's just three days until Liverpool face Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris, as the Reds chase down an incredible cup treble.

Jurgen Klopp's side were left wondering what might have been last Sunday, when Manchester City pipped the Merseyside club to the Premier League title by a single point, leaving lofty dreams of a quadruple in tatters. But attention has quickly turned to the showpiece fixture in the French capital this weekend with Liverpool hoping to win their seventh European Cup and Madrid hunting for their 14th.

To two sides have shown interest in similar players in recent months, though neither were able to capture the services of Kylian Mbappe. Here's a round-up of the latest LFC transfer rumours on the world wide web.

Who?

Aurelien Tchouameni

Where?

Julien Maynard

Why?

Despite plenty of speculation linking him to Anfield, it would appear that Aurelien Tchouameni is all set to become a Real Madrid player.

That's according to the French journalist Julien Maynard, who Tweeted: "Aurélien Tchouameni has chosen Real Madrid. The Monaco midfielder has already announced his departure to his teammates."

Tchouameni has enjoyed an excellent season for Monaco in Ligue 1, marking him out as a attractive purchase for many top European clubs this summer, but having missed out on Kylian Mbappe, it looks like Madrid may have got their man this time.

Who?

Ibrahim Sangare

Where?

Voetbal International

Why?

Jurgen Klopp has turned his attentions to an alternative defensive midfield option, according to reports. Voetbal International, as per the Daily Express, claims that PSV Eindhoven's Ibrahim Sangare has been monitored by the Carabao and FA Cup winners.

The report says that the Ivorian is 'firmly in the sights' of the Reds, despite only moving to PSV from Toulouse in 2020. It also claims that the 24-year-old has been scouted by the Reds heavily and could be available for around £32milllion.

Who?

Calvin Ramsay

Where?

The Scotsman

Why?

Liverpool's hopes of signing promising Scottish right-back Calvin Ramsay could be challenged by Serie A side Bologna.

Both the Reds and Leeds United are understood to be tracking the Aberdeen youngster, who was recently crowned the Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year.

But Italian outfit Bologna attempted to sign Ramsay in January for a deal worth £4.8million and now The Scotsman is reporting that the same team is ready to get back around the negotiating table to try and thrash out a deal.

Ramsay has been identified as a possible back-up for Anfield's first choice right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. When Bologna failed to sign Ramsay in January they brought in Dutch teenager Denso Kasius from Utrecht, but the move has so far not been a success, prompting the Italians to take another look at the Aberdeen prospect.
