AURANGABAD: The Aurangabad city police have booked three suspects, including a woman, on the charges of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy after they allegedly forged documents to get the death certificate of the landowner and claimed to be his legal successors.
Police said the suspects not only forged documents, including the death certificate, but also submitted them in the court of law, bagged a compromise decree, submitted it at the tehsil office, and got themselves recorded as the legal heirs of the actual owner.
