A driver was spotted reversing back down a motorway slip road in shocking footage shared by police.
Lancashire Police released a montage of footage showing a number of dangerous driving incidents that took place in the county, one of which was a black Audi SUV reversing down the hard shoulder of the slip road going onto the M65. The driver of the Audi was forced to take a driver retraining course as a result.
The footage was shared by police as part of Operation Snap, a bid to encourage drivers and motorists to send in dashcam footage of other road users driving carelessly and illegally. Since the launch of the operation earlier this year, the force has received 1,400 pieces of footage.

The montage of clips also shows a Ford Transit van mounting the curb and driving with all four wheels along the pavement rather than waiting for the vehicle in front to turn right. Not only that, but the driver was also driving the van without insurance. They ended up in court and were handed eight points on their licence and fined £816.
Another wince-worthy clip shows a white Volkswagen Golf weaving in and out of tight motorway traffic, narrowly avoiding a crash with a number of other cars on the carriageway. The driver was handed three points on their licence and a £367 fine in court.
