A man is fighting for his life after crashing into a tree in Woolton.
The man was driving a black Audi Quatro when it struck a tree at the junction of Menlove Avenue and Woolton Road. Paramedics attended and took the driver to hospital at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, April 19. At the time the ECHO reported police had said the driver was taken to hospital.
Police released more details of the incident today. and said the man remained in hospital in a critical condition following the incident. Officers are appealing for anyone who has CCTV and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident, to get in touch to assist the investigation.

They particularly want to speak to a jogger who may have witnessed the crash.
Constable Chris Lightfoot from the roads policing unit said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision on Wednesday afternoon 19th April and we would urge any motorists in the area with CCTV or a dash camera fitted to their vehicle to get in touch. Our officers are also keen to speak with a jogger who may have witnessed the incident.
"If you saw, or have footage of the vehicle involved in this collision in the area prior to the collision we need to hear from you. Every piece of information is vitally important to our investigation to establish what happened.
