Aubrey Plaza's disgruntled appearance on stage at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards sparked a mountain of speculation on social media.
The Parks and Recreations star, 38, looked annoyed in front of cameras on Sunday evening as she and her White Lotus co-stars collected their award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series, but an insider has revealed it was down to panic over a potential wardrobe mishap, and nearly getting elbowed in the face.
The actor, who wore a shimmering dress with straps crossing her chest, appeared startled and then adjusted her risqué top after co-star Jon Cries whispered in her ear.
Then after veteran actor F. Murray Abraham finished his speech, Aubrey was seen mouthing "Jesus Christ" under her breath and didn't look impressed, as co-star Meghann Fahy hugged Michael Imperioli.
A source told DailyMail.com: "First, she was told that her boob was hanging out which would cause any woman to be uncomfortable.
"Then she was almost elbowed in the face and her reaction was a direct result of that."
The clip which has since been shared on social media saw fans queuing up to comment on her obvious frustrations — despite having won the award.
One person wrote on Twitter: "What was she annoyed about?'
A third penned: "She looked like she haaaaated being up there and immediately ran off stage while everyone in the cast was congratulating and hugging each other."
Another added she 'seemed REALLY p**sed off' and the her quick exit was also commented upon.
Despite the moment on stage Aubrey still joined a cast group shot and appeared to photo bomb her co-stars.
Earlier in the evening Aubrey and Amy Poehler walked hand-in-hand down the red carpet together.
HBO's White Lotus was the biggest TV win of the night with Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in addition to a Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series win for Jennifer Coolidge.
Everything Everywhere All At Once swept the board last night securing four of the main five awards including; Outstanding Lead Female Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Outstanding supporting actress Jamie Lee Curtis, and Outstanding Male Lead Actor Ke Huy Quan, all recognised for their stellar performances.
Aubrey's appearance on stage wasn't the only awkward moment of the evening, with Zendaya infuriating die-hard fans after she appeared to swerve his gentlemanly gesture during the ceremony.
The Euphoria actor appeared to avoid Paul's offer of an arm as the co-presenters made their way up the stage to present an award.
Straight after the awkward exchange, Oscar nominee Paul then fumbled over his words as the pair read from a teleprompter - but viewers found the blunder endearing as they watched it unfold.
The Mirror has approached Aubrey's representatives for comment.
