Aubrey Plaza gave the cameras some amazing side-eye after Stella McCartney seemingly clashed with a Met Gala interviewer on Monday night.
Chloe Fineman from Saturday Night Live interviewed Stella McCartney, Aubrey Plaza and Madelyn Cline at the star-studded gala last night (May 1), with fans quick to brand the chat "cringe".
The SNL star hosted Vogue’s red-carpet livestream alongside esteemed fashion journalist Derek Blasberg and Vanderpump Rules star La La Kent.
Fashion designer Stella, 51, attended the event alongside The White Lotus star Aubrey, 38, and Outbankers actress Madelyn, 25, with the trio stopping to talk to the Vogue hosts after walking the red carpet and the Met's famous steps.
During the interview, things took an awkward turn when Stella slammed Chloe for not taking the interview "seriously", with fans quick to react to the video that went viral on social media.
"Now Stella, you took over from Karl Lagerfled," Chloe began as she addressed the designer, giggling and laughing while speaking.
Stella looked less than impressed as she appeared to say: "Are you not taking this seriously? This is very serious."
"I’ll be more serious," Chloe quickly added, before saying: "My name is Chloe, and you took over from Karl Lagerfeld at [the fashion house] Chloe in 1997."
It's not clear if Stella was being serious when she made the comment or if it was just a case of her British humour and sarcasm not being picked up by her American peers.
One person commented on the viral video, which made its way onto TikTok: "She was the worst - was so happy Stella McCartney called her out."
"Aubrey loving it is killing me," added a second, referring to Aubrey's shimmy and wide-eyed facial expression as Stella called Chloe out.
"Chloe’s tone is inappropriate for speaking with a designer at the Met Gala of all places. Obv a designer takes fashion/this event seriously," penned a third.
While a fourth added: "Aubrey side eye wiggle!"
Stella slamming Chloe came as the latter seemingly misnamed Aubrey when she called her "Audrey" instead, which lead to Aubrey joking that her surname was "Slutbone" to make light of the situation.
“Not Aubrey Plaza repeatedly being called Audrey by Chloe Fineman. Show some respect," wrote one fan in regards to the misnaming.
While another said of the entire interview: "That convo between Stella McCartney and Chloe Fineman at The Met was so cringe."
