Attempted murder probe as gang sets fire to Scots flat before fleeing scene

Police have launched an attempted murder probe after a gang set fire to a flat door before fleeing the scene.

Emergency services were called to Caprington Gardens in Kilmarnock around 11.40pm on Friday evening after a group of around 10 people caused damage to the windows of a flat.

The gang then set a fire to the door, before fleeing the scene on foot as officers arrived.
