An apparent attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was thwarted by law enforcement officials, as the suspect was quickly apprehended before any harm could be done. Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw commended the swift action taken by authorities, stating that the suspect 'didn’t even get close to getting a round off'.
The incident unfolded while Trump was playing golf at Mar-a-Lago, when a Secret Service agent noticed a rifle barrel with a scope protruding from a fence. The agent immediately engaged with the individual, who then fled the scene in a vehicle. Fortunately, a witness was able to provide crucial information that led to the suspect's apprehension.
