An attempt to reunite Roy Keane and Alfie Haaland ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby didn't go to plan.
A broadcaster tried to reunite the former rivals at the Etihad, but ultimately failed.
The Manchester Evening News' Chief Manchester United writer Samuel Luckhurst saw the awkward moment ahead of Manchester City's clash with United.

He tweeted: "Roy Keane just in front of the centre circle and Alfie Haaland is about 25 yards away pitchside. A broadcaster has unsuccessfully attempted to reunite them today."
ESPN's Mark Ogden shared a photo of Keane and Haaland standing close enough to each other, commenting on it: "Roy Keane and Alfie Haaland sharing a touchline at the Etihad. Closest they’ve been for over 20 years…"
Prior to the game, Haaland's son Erling said he has never spoken to Alfie about Keane's infamous 2001 challenge on him.
He explained: “I haven’t spoken to my father about this game, but I know he will be in the stands watching. It means so much to all of the supporters - and as a fan I know that. We want to make them proud on Sunday.
"We know it is going to be a tough game, but I am excited to play in this derby. It’s another game, but I also know that derby games are so much more intense. These games mean everything to the fans. It is the first time I have played in the Manchester derby after watching so many on TV with my father and I cannot wait. It will be a special moment for me.”
