Why your perfume vanishes by afternoon
Most alcohol-based fragrances are designed for dry, cool-climate skin. The formula assumes low ambient humidity and a skin surface that holds alcohol long enough for the top notes to bloom before evaporating cleanly. Indian skin, typically warmer, often more melanin-rich, and in many climates persistently humid, accelerates that evaporation. The alcohol burns off faster. The top notes spike and disappear. What's left by 2 PM is a ghost of the dry-down, if anything at all.
