KOZHIKODE: A day after Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi's office was vandalised by SFI activists, Congress leaders held protest demonstrations in Wayanad on Saturday. Meanwhile, Gandhi has scheduled a three-day visit to Wayanad, and he would arrive on June 30.
State leaders led by opposition leader VD Satheesan visited the office on Saturday morning and a mass protest rally and meeting was organized at Kalpetta town in the afternoon. Satheesan alleged that the attack was a planned one and blamed the chief minister's office for it. The protest rally at Kalpetta was attended by thousands of Congress workers. Leaders, including KPCC president K Sudhakaran, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, K Muraleedharan, among others were present.
