ATP Finals Prediction: Henman Backs Sinner To Beat Alcaraz

Former British No. 1 Tim Henman has made his ATP Finals prediction, backing Jannik Sinner to beat Carlos Alcaraz to the title.

With Novak Djokovic absent from the tournament, the stage is set for a new champion to emerge in the prestigious end-of-season event.

Henman’s Prediction: Sinner Over Alcaraz for the Title

Tim Henman, in his role as a Sky Sports analyst, gave his ATP Finals prediction, confidently tipping Jannik Sinner to claim victory over Carlos Alcaraz in the final.

“Sinner will beat Alcaraz in the final,” Henman said, expecting the two dominant players to go head-to-head for the title. “It will be a fitting end to the season with the best two players going head to head.”

Henman foresees that the ATP Finals in Turin will closely follow form, with world-class players like Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev expected to advance to the knockout rounds.

However, he remains convinced that Sinner and Alcaraz will set themselves apart, highlighting their form throughout the 2024 season.

Laura Robson Tips Zverev to Reach Final, Highlights De Minaur as Dark Horse

Former British tennis player Laura Robson offered a slightly different perspective, tipping Alexander Zverev as a finalist alongside Sinner.

Zverev’s strong performance in the Paris Masters, where he claimed the title, has bolstered his form going into Turin, according to Robson.

She sees Sinner ultimately prevailing, yet she expects Zverev to be a challenging opponent.

Robson also pointed to Australian Alex de Minaur as a potential surprise contender, suggesting that he could make a notable impact in his first ATP Finals appearance.

The Stakes Are Higher Than Ever

The ATP Finals represent one of the highest-stakes tournaments on the tennis calendar, with a winner’s prize totalling $4.88 million for an undefeated champion.

This makes the tournament in Turin a major event not only for rankings but also for the chance to cap off the season on a high note.

For Sinner and Alcaraz, both of whom have won Grand Slams this year, the ATP Finals serve as an opportunity to further cement their status as the next leaders of the game.
