Atletico vs Barcelona: Champions League prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h, odds

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona - (London Standard)

Barcelona tonight need another remontada to keep their Champions League hopes alive as they face off against Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid.

A 2-0 defeat at home to Diego Simeone’s side leaves Barca with a mountain to climb - but they have been in far worse situations before.

Atletico will be more than aware that their first-leg lead may not prove to be enough to get the job done, having lost at home to the same team just 10 days earlier.

It means this quarter-final second leg is still finely poised, with the winner likely facing Arsenal in the semi-finals.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off tonight, Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

The match will take place at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

Atletico vs Barcelona team news

Atletico are sweating over the fitness of David Hancko, who was forced off with an injury during the first leg, along with Johnny Cardoso, Jose Gimenez and Pablo Barrios, but Jan Oblak is pushing to start after his own injury worries.

Marc Pubill is suspended, which could see Clement Lenglet start against his former side. Diego Simeone made 10 changes for the weekend defeat to Sevilla, making clear his priorities.

Barcelona will be without the suspended Pau Cubarsi, after his damaging red card last week, leaving Hansi Flick with a decision to make in defence.

Gerard Martin and Marc Bernal will be assessed ahead of the game, but Raphinha and Andreas Christensen are out. Marcus Rashford will keep his place in the attack.

Atletico vs Barcelona prediction

Barcelona will rightly believe that the tie is still firmly in the balance despite the two-goal deficit, but must be at their best at both ends of the pitch to have any chance of advancing.

Atetico will try to shut up shop, which they were once masters of but more recently struggle to do so, and Barcelona will be confident of scoring the two goals to level matters. It all depends on if they can keep it tight at the back while needing to breach Atletico more than once.
