Atletico Madrid 'consider' move for David de Gea and other Manchester United transfer rumours

La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering an offer for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

Back in 2011, United signed De Gea from Atletico as a replacement for the recently retired Edwin van der Sar. Since then, the 31-year-old has established himself as the first choice at Old Trafford earning player of the season awards during his 11-year stint.

De Gea's contract with the Reds is due to expire at the end of this season but MEN Sport does expect United to trigger a one-year extension to his deal. However, according to 90min, Atleti would be willing to bring De Gea back to the Spanish capital as their current number one Jan Oblak is 'unsettled'.

They claim that De Gea's future is as of yet unknown but second choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson will be returning to Old Trafford at the end of his loan spell at Nottingham Forest. Elsewhere, one potential replacement for De Gea at United is reportedly unlikely to make the switch to Manchester.

Football Insider understands that Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez is on the radar of the Reds. The Argentine shot stopper has impressed after leaving Arsenal for the West Midlands and has thus found his way onto United's wishlist.

However, it is understood that Villa would reject 'any bid' for Martinez and are unwilling to let their 'keeper leave.
