Welcome back to a new edition of “So You Think Being a Hitter in MLB is Easy!?” This where we here at For The Win show you a ridiculous pitch thrown by a pitcher that makes us happy that we don’t have to try to hit these types of pitches for a living.
Earlier this week we showed you Sandy Alcántara’s wild 100 mph sinker that had so much movement that fans were in utter disbelief.
For this one we’re going to slow it down a bit, 21 mph slower to be exact, with a beautiful 79 mph slider by Atlanta’s Collin McHugh that went for a called third strike and left the batter, Washington’s Luis Garcia, questioning everything about life.
Check this out:

We would all feel the way Garcia felt there. I mean, that pitch was like a mile outside and then…. boom, it was right in the strike zone.
Twitter had reactions.

So nasty, with such low velo compared to guys these days. Been one of the best relievers in the MLB the last 3-4 years & his name is rarely brought up.
