Addressing the plenary discussion on COP31 priorities during the Pre-COP31 meetings in Fiji, Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav highlighted the urgent necessity of bridging knowledge gaps, fulfilling climate obligations, and speeding up the execution of the Paris Agreement prior to the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference.
Co-hosted by Australia, Fiji, and Tuvalu under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the preparatory sessions precede COP31, which is slated to take place in Turkey this November.
