At Cannes Film Festival, Johnny Depp says 'I have no further need for Hollywood'

Johnny Depp has said that “the majority” of words written about him are “fantastically, horrifically written fiction” while speaking about being “boycotted” by Hollywood.

Depp has returned to the screen for Jeanne du Barry, a French-language film which opened the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday (16 May) night. The film received a seven-minute standing ovation, with Depp seen “in tears” in response.
