Asylum seekers in Dublin were moved out of a facility following fears for their safety.
Around 20 people were being housed in the North Road Accommodation Centre in Finglas for three nights. The centre had been previously used by the HSE during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Asylum seekers were moved out of the facility on Friday following a number of "incidents directed at residents, RTE reports. The Department of Children said the centre is not currently in use by International Protection Accommodation services.

It is understood that the residents were moved back to the Citywest transit hub. The department is contacting emergency accommodation due to a high volume of asylum seekers arriving.
