Astrud Gilberto, the singer best known for super hit The Girl From Ipanema, has sadly died at the age of 83.
Astrud's son Marcelo confirmed the sad news but as of yet, the legendary star's cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Astrud's track became a smash hit across the globe and sold more than 5 million copies, earning the musician a Grammy for song of the year.
