The red-hot Astros completed a two-game sweep of the Red Sox in style Wednesday night in Boston, with closer Ryan Pressly throwing the coolest curveball of the MLB season to strike out Connor Wong and give Houston its fifth straight win.
The Astros are tied for first with the Mariners in the AL West, with the Rangers a game back after Aroldis Chapman blew a save in ugly fashion against the Mets.
Pressly has some of the nastiest stuff in professional baseball, and if you need more proof of that then just look at this game-ending pitch that Wong had no chance of hitting:

Filthy. But not surprising:
26 of the 30 highest-spin pitches thrown by MLB relievers this season have been thrown by Ryan Pressly. https://t.co/RScCRGXrSB

MLB fans were in awe:
It’s a backyard baseball curveball. Breaks 24 inches at the last millisecond… How? https://t.co/y8555MBwTz
