Martin Maldonado is known much more for his glove than his bat (although his trash talk was pretty good a couple of years ago!) , and on Monday, he showed why.
In a Houston Astros loss to the Texas Rangers, he was catching for Cristian Javier when Leody Taveras hit a foul tip that appeared to go off Maldonado’s glove and popped up in the air.
Maldonado stuck with it as it went over his head. He came out of his crouch and went full leap to catch it for the out.
Seriously. How impressive is that? MLB fans loved it:
