Aston Villa Fans Furious As Morgan Rogers Not In England Squad

Aston Villa fans have taken their frustration to social media as Morgan Rogers is left out of Lee Carsley’s England squad.

The Aston Villa star has made a superb start to the 2024/25 campaign, contributing to five goals in 10 Premier League appearances (3G+2A).

Many expected the Englishman to be selected by Lee Carsley in the latest England squad following his performances for the Villains – but the interim manager decided against it.

Jack Grealish, Noni Madueke and Anthony Gordon were selected over Rogers in the forward department, with the Aston Villa player being an option in both midfield and attack.

In midfield, Conor Gallagher, Morgan Gibbs-White and Angel Gomes were selected instead of the Villans player after featuring in previous squads under Carsley.

Rogers has been a consistent member in England’s U21 side, featuring against Azerbaijan and Ukraine back in October.

This is Carsley’s last hurrah as the man in charge of the Three Lions, with Thomas Tuchel set to take from 2025 onward.

England will face Greece and Ireland in the UEFA Nations League during this international break, as they look to improve on the 2-1 defeat to Greece last time out.

The Three Lions have accumulated nine points from a possible 12 in the UNL, sitting second in Group 1 of League B and are favourites to win the group on UK betting sites.

Finally, this Villa fan has become even more excited over Tuchel’s appointment following Carsley’s decision over Rogers.
