Gold Coast coach Justin Holbrook is confident he'll have a significant say in who the NRL club appoints as his assistants for the 2023 season.
Ex-Cronulla head coach Shane Flanagan has been linked to the Titans in recent days but Holbrook said no-one has been spoken to as the club seeks to replace the departed Jim Dymock.
"We know we're going to fill an assistant coach (position), but we haven't made a decision on that," Holbrook said.
"We haven't spoken to anybody yet.
"We're just looking at all options and we will decide over the coming weeks ... there's no top target."
Dymock left the Titans in July after being informed he wouldn't be offered a position beyond this season while high performance manager Klint Hoare had already departed earlier in the year.
Flanagan coached the Sharks to a drought-breaking premiership in 2016 but before being de-registered by the NRL in 2018 for breaching the terms of a 2014 ban relating to the club's peptides scandal.
He has since worked as an analyst for Fox Sports and also held an assistant coaching role at St George Illawarra for a brief period.
Titans chairman Dennis Watt told 4BC radio Flanagan would "certainly be on that list" if the Titans sought an experienced coach to work alongside Holbrook, with the Titans staring at a second wooden spoon in four years after a horror 2022.
"We're just collating ones that are available and the ones that are interested and we'll go from there, but there's no one's ahead of anyone," Holbrook said before adding he expects to have "a lot of input" in who is offered the role.
Gold Coast, who have won just three games all season, head to Melbourne this Friday having fallen to last on the ladder following Wests Tigers' shock win over Brisbane last weekend.
"There's a lot of things we're looking at and players are one of them and coaching another," Holbrook said.
"Also games of footy are another one and that's at the forefront of that planning at the moment - tomorrow night's game."
