Assassin's Creed Shadows is officially on the way, and despite a second delay pushing it to March 20 2025, it's set to take us to the most anticipated setting in the series so far: Feudal Japan. Formerly known as Assassin's Creed Codeame Red, a cinematic reveal trailer came just after Ubisoft confirmed the official title, and we've since seen much more of next big flagship stealthy entry.
The upcoming open-world RPG will see us play as dual protagonists Naoe and Yasuke, who both have different strengths and combat styles. Interestingly, news also confirmed Assassin's Creed Shadows will feature a "Canon mode" that makes choices for you, its expected to be between 30 and 60 hours long, and aims to try to restore the balance between the historical and modern stories of the series.
